On Friday, December 19, 2025, Kenosha County Eye reported that Judge Anthony Milisauskas was celebrated at the Kenosha County Courthouse to commemorate his retirement after two decades as a Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge. The celebration took place in his Branch 4 courtroom, filled with colleagues, friends, officials, and members of the legal community.

The atmosphere was jovial, a departure from the usual courtroom decorum. The standard rule against wearing hats in court was waived, and attendees were encouraged to wear them. Judge Milisauskas exchanged his judicial robe and gavel for fishing attire and a sash that proclaimed “I’m retired.” Court staff escorted him into the courtroom with a parade, accompanied by a trumpet fanfare performed by Kenosha County Senior Assistant Corporation Counsel John Moyer.

Milisauskas, a Kenosha native, is a graduate of John Marshall Law School, earning his degree in 1983. He has experience in private practice and with the Kenosha County Office of the Corporation Counsel. He was first elected as the Somers Municipal Judge in 2000. In 2005, he was elected as the Branch 4 Circuit Court Judge, a position he has held until his retirement, which is officially effective January 6.

Governor Tony Evers will appoint a successor to fulfill the remainder of his term, which is set to conclude on July 31, 2027.
