On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the Judicial Council of the District of Columbia Circuit affirmed the order of Chief Circuit Judge Srinivasan that dismissed a complaint for judicial misconduct against a former Judge of the United StatesCourt of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and two judges of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
The case is styled, “In the Matter of a Charge of Judicial Misconduct or Disability,” with case nos. DC-22-90002, DC-22-90003, and DC-22-90004.
According to the Order, Judge Srinivasan dismissed a complaint on January 9, 2023. The complainant then sought the Judicial Council’s review of Srinivasan’s order of dismissal by filing its petition on March 15, 2023.
The Judicial Council, upon its review of the matter, affirmed Judge Srinivasan’s order of dismissal, thereby, denying the complainant’s petition for review.
The disposition reads:
“ORDERED, by the Judicial Council, that for the reasons set forth in the memorandum accompanying the Chief Circuit Judge’s order; the disposition is affirmed and the petition for review is denied pursuant to Rule 19(b)(1) of the Rules for Judicial-Conduct and Judicial-Disability Proceedings.”
It was stated in the order that the Chief Circuit Judge did not participate in the instant order.
