On Monday, March 6, 2023, the Judicial Council of the District of Columbia Circuit affirmed the order of Srinivasan, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, that dismissed a complaint for judicial misconduct against a judge of the United States District Court.

The case is styled, “In the Matter of a Charge of Judicial Misconduct or Disability,” with case no. DC-22-90006.

According to the Order, Judge Srinivasan dismissed a complaint against the former judge on January 10, 2023. The complainant then sought the Judicial Council’s review of Srinivasan’s order of dismissal by filing its petition on January 25, 2023.

The Judicial Council, upon its review of the matter, affirmed Judge Srinivasan’s order of dismissal, thereby, denying the complainant’s petition for review.

The order reads:

“ORDERED, by the Judicial Council, that for the reasons set forth in the memorandum accompanying the Chief Circuit Judge’s order; the disposition is affirmed and the petition for review is denied pursuant to Rule 19(b)(1) of the Rules for Judicial-Conduct and Judicial-Disability Proceedings.”

It was stated in the order that the Chief Circuit Judge did not participate in the instant order.
