On February 8, 2023, the Judicial Council of the District of Columbia Circuit, ruled on the petition for review of an order of dismissal of a judicial misconduct complaint issued by Chief Circuit Judge Srinivasan against a United States District Court Judge.
The case is styled, “In the matter of a Charge of Judicial Misconduct or Disability,” with case no. DC-22-90001.
According to the Order, Judge Srinivasan dismissed the complaint against the subject judge on January 4, 2023. The complainant then sought the Judicial Council’s review of Srinivasan’s order of dismissal.
The Judicial Council, upon its review of the matter, affirmed Judge Srinivasan’s order of dismissal, thereby, denying the complainant’s petition for review.
The disposition reads:
“ORDERED, by the Judicial Council, that for the reasons set forth in the memorandum accompanying the Chief Circuit Judge’s order, the disposition is affirmed and the petition for review is denied pursuant to Rule 19(b)(1) of the Rules for Judicial-Conduct and Judicial-Disability Proceedings.”
It was stated in the order that Judge Srinivasan had no participation in the instant order.
