Following his departure, the Eighth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission has opened the application process to fill the now-vacant position.
Judge Moseley, who has served as chief judge since 2021, presided over cases in several counties, including Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy, and Union. His judicial experience includes handling mortgage foreclosure, civil, probate, and guardianship cases in Alachua County. Prior to his appointment as chief judge, Moseley had been involved in the judiciary since 2014, overseeing criminal cases across the circuit as well as civil cases in Alachua, Bradford, and Baker Counties.
