On Friday, March 20, 2026, WDRB reported that a Floyd County judge has denied a motion for recusal in the case of Henry Bachmann, a Southern Indiana man facing charges including conspiracy to commit murder. Bachmann is accused of plotting the murder of a motorcycle club’s vice president.

Defense attorneys had requested Judge Carrie Stiller’s removal from the case, raising concerns about the validity of a search warrant executed at a Louisville motorcycle clubhouse. The warrant in question, signed by Judge Stiller, allegedly lacked the required signature of a Kentucky judge, according to the defense.

Judge Stiller rejected the defense’s motion, ensuring that the case will continue under her jurisdiction.

In addition to the conspiracy charge, Bachmann faces accusations of corrupt business influence, money laundering, and theft. His trial is scheduled to commence on April 27.
